IRCTC Website And App Not Working Due To Technical Issues, Alternative
Booking Options Available.
IRCTC, Indian Railways' online ticketing system, is now experiencing
technical issues that are annoying many users throughout the nation. Customers
who complained that the IRCTC server was unavailable during peak hours received
a lot of feedback on Twitter. Both the IRCTC mobile app and the web-based
booking system were impacted by the problems.
IRCTC responded to the situation by issuing a statement recognizing the
issue and attributing the service interruption to technical factors. Users have
been told that their technical team is actively working to find a solution, and
that they will be informed as soon as the issue is resolved.
On the IRCTC website, there was a message visible. "Due to maintenance
work, the e-ticketing service is not currently available. Please give it
another shot later. Call customer care at 14646, 0755-6610661, or 0755-4090600 to cancel or file a TDR, or send an email to
etickets@irctc.co.in. IRCTC is another option for purchasing railway tickets.
Reiterating
the technical nature of the issue and assuring customers that their devoted
staff at CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems) is actively trying to
resolve it, IRCTC also provided this information via their official Twitter
account. While there were difficulties with the IRCTC website and app, there
were other B2C
companies like Amazon and MakeMyTrip where you could book tickets.
